Vladyslav Haiduk operates Remnesa. For privacy questions or requests, email co.luminescence@gmail.com.
You can create decks, study cards, and use the core features without signing in. Your library, study history, preferences, and app-managed media are stored on your device. Guest card content is not sent to the Remnesa sync service. If you export or share a backup, that copy is controlled by the destination you choose.
If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we receive provider identity information, including a provider-specific account identifier and the email address and name made available by the provider. We store account and session information needed to authenticate you. Cloud-eligible decks, notes, cards, tags, and review events are sent to our server so your library and study progress can synchronize across devices. The app continues to work offline and syncs eligible changes when a connection is available.
Free or intentionally device-only media remains local. When configured and enabled for a signed-in subscriber, full media synchronization sends admitted media files, attachment metadata, their cards and review events to account-owned cloud storage. Transfer status distinguishes pending downloads from content available offline. A user-created full backup can include available local files regardless of purchase status.
With your permission, the app schedules study reminders locally on your device based on your local review schedule and settings. Remnesa does not currently register a push token or send remote push notifications. You can change reminders in Profile and notification permission in your device settings.
We use account and synchronized library data to provide sign-in, cross-device sync, account security, and support. When you use online features, our hosting infrastructure processes network information such as your IP address and request metadata to deliver and protect the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Apple and Google process optional sign-in and store payments under their own privacy terms. RevenueCat verifies optional purchases using store transaction information and an anonymous or opaque account-linked customer identifier; it does not receive your card content from Remnesa. Cloudflare R2 stores admitted account-owned media when subscription media sync is configured. Hosting and database infrastructure process synchronized content and access records to operate Remnesa. Verified purchase hints are cached in device-only secure storage and excluded from portable backups. Your device platform handles local notification delivery. Data you choose to export may be processed by the destination you select.
Your local library remains on your device until you remove it, uninstall the app, or delete an account from within the app. Signed-in account data remains on our server while your account is active. Profile → Account → Delete account permanently deletes the live account and synchronized data, revokes Remnesa sessions, signs you out, and clears the requesting device's app-managed library, media, and local backup snapshots. Exported copies outside the app are not deleted by Remnesa. Hosted media and billing-provider records are removed through durable retryable cleanup. Deleting the account does not cancel a store subscription; manage it separately in your store. Server database backups may still contain earlier copies after live deletion; see the current backup-retention disclosure below.
Server recovery backups currently have no automatic expiry. They are not used to restore deleted accounts individually. Contact us for details or a deletion request relating to backup copies.
You can use Remnesa as a guest, edit or delete your local cards, export a backup, turn off reminders, sign out, or delete your account. Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your account.
